The FirmTranSec Advisory is an executive cybersecurity advisory firm. We help leaders and boards make confident, defensible cybersecurity decisions.
We believe cybersecurity is, before anything else, a leadership responsibility. Tools and tests matter, but they do not make decisions; people do. Our work is to bring judgment to those decisions — to sit with leadership, weigh what matters, and help them choose well.
We were built on standards set in the most demanding security environments, and we bring that discipline to organizations across industries. We work as advisors, not vendors: independent, candid, and accountable for the counsel we give.

James Dey founded TranSec Advisory on a single conviction: that cybersecurity is, at its core, an executive decision, and that the leaders making those decisions deserve a trusted advisor, not another vendor.
Across more than two decades inside highly regulated, high-consequence cybersecurity environments, he has guided executives and organizations through the decisions that matter most — where the risk is real, the scrutiny is intense, and the wrong call carries lasting cost.
